UTV Q2 net profit jumps to R40 cr

UTV Software Communications on Thursday said its consolidated net profit jumped nearly five-fold to R 40 crore for the quarter ended September 30, over the same period last year.

UTV Software Communications on Thursday said its consolidated net profit jumped nearly five-fold to R 40 crore for the quarter ended September 30, over the same period last year. Total revenues rose to R239.9 crore in the July-September quarter, against R237.7 crore in the same period previous fiscal, UTV Software Communications said.

“Last year, we were in our investment mode, and second is we have got our cost efficiency as well,” said Ronnie Screwvala, chief executive officer.
