The ranking has IBM Daksh at number four slot and EXL Services at five followed by Mphasis BPO (formerly MSource), Intelenet Global ICICI OneSource at number eight while GTL and Infosys firm Progeon are at nine and ten respectively

The ITES-BPO segment, which contributes 30 per cent of the total IT-ITES exports from India, has witnessed a growth of almost 45 per cent to reach $5.2 billion in the present financial year. The coming year is going to be even better with exports expected to clock revenues to the tune of $7.3 billion.

A few firms did not provide their Indian revenue figures. If offshore revenues of firms such as e-Funds and Sutherland Technologies had been considered, they would have featured in the top 10. Some key players like vCustomer and Zenta Group did not reveal revenues for reasons like recent buyout or "quiet period".

The largest BPO company GECIS was not considered for the rankings this time, since it was a "captive operation" till the end of last year

"With an ever expanding portfolio and employee base, third party players have been able to sustain their growth rates over the years. Players who have scaled up and are offering process expertise, operational excellence and following best practices, are making it to our rankings every year," said NASSCOM president Kiran Karnik.

The rankings are based on revenues for 2004-05 reported as per annual NASSCOM survey on IT industry performance.
