This is where EVs made the real difference

Electric vehicles emerged as a major growth driver for the company in 2025. BMW Group India delivered 3,753 electric vehicles across BMW and MINI brands, translating into a year-on-year growth of 200 per cent. EVs accounted for 21 per cent of the company’s total car sales, a sharp rise from 8 per cent in the previous year.

The iX1 sets the pace in the premium EV space

The company retained its lead in India’s luxury electric vehicle segment, supported by strong demand across price points. At the top end, the BMW i7 continued to anchor volumes, while the BMW iX1 emerged as the highest-selling EV in BMW Group India’s portfolio. The iX1 also led sales in the overall premium EV segment in the country.

Building the charging ecosystem alongside the cars

BMW Group India said demand for its electric models has remained strong following the implementation of GST 2.0, aided by product availability and brand traction. During the year, the company expanded its EV ecosystem through initiatives such as destination charging points, smart e-routing, charging concierge services and the development of high-performance electric corridors.

As of 2025, BMW Group India offers the widest electric vehicle portfolio in the luxury segment. The lineup includes seven electric cars and two electric scooters: BMW i7, BMW iX, BMW i5, BMW i4, BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase, MINI Countryman E, MINI Countryman SE ALL4, BMW CE 04 and BMW CE 02.

Commenting on the performance, Mr Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO, BMW Group India, said, "Our lead in luxury electric segment is not only progressing sustainable mobility but also unlocking the potential for increasing the size of luxury car market in India. "
