Kylaq crosses 50,000 sales

Skoda’s sub-4-metre SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, crossed cumulative sales of 50,000 units in India within one year of its launch. To support demand, the company recently introduced two additional variants: Classic Plus and Prestige Plus.

The Classic Plus variant is positioned above the base Classic trim and adds features such as an electric sunroof, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, LED headlamps and tail-lamps, LED daytime running lights, and a multi-function steering wheel. Skoda has also added features to the Signature and Signature Plus trims, including an electric sunroof, paddle shifters on automatic versions, rain-sensing wipers, rear wiper and washer, and LED reading lamps.

At the top end, the Prestige trim line has been split into Prestige and Prestige Plus variants. The move increases the number of configurations available in the fully equipped range.

In January, Skoda also revealed the facelifted Skoda Kushaq for India. The updated model features exterior design changes and minor revisions over the outgoing version.
