Toyota India recalls around 1,400 Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder vehicles
According to Toyota, models of the Glanza and Hyryder made between December 8, 2022, and January 12, 2023 are affected by the recall.
Toyota India has recalled 1,390 Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder vehicles to inspect the airbag controller for a possible problem. Owners of these vehicles have been urged to contact the appropriate dealerships so that the flaws can be repaired at no cost to them, a report from HT Auto read.

Models of the Glanza and Hyryder made between December 8, 2022, and January 12, 2023, according to Toyota, are affected by the recall. Though the dealers will contact owners of affected vehicles for vehicle inspections, owners can also check if their vehicle is included in recall by using the VIN number on the Toyota website.
This coincides with the recent recall of Baleno, Grand Vitara and other models of Maruti Suzuki.
The Indian branch of Toyota Motor have also recently revealed that they might have been exposed to data breach compromising some customers' personal information. The Indian automaker, a joint venture between Toyota Motor and Kirloskar Group said that they have notified the concerned Indian authorities about the cyber scam.
In the other news, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced on Monday that Manasi Tata, daughter of former vice-chairperson Vikram Kirloskar who died last year, will take over as the new vice-chairperson of the company as well as group's Toyota Kirloskar Auto parts (TKAP). Along with her, other two senior officials Tadashi Asazuma and Swapnesh R Maru have been elevated and inducted as new Directors in its board. Their induction to the board is with effect from January 19, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said in a statement.
