A 14-year-old from Ambala has complained to police that she was raped by a Manimajra resident, Vijay Bawa, on the pretext providing a job to her, on Saturday.
A 14-year-old from Ambala has complained to police that she was raped by a Manimajra resident, Vijay Bawa, on the pretext providing a job to her, on Saturday.
As the incident of rape was committed in Manimajra, the Panchkula police on Saturday night registered an FIR at Sector 5 police station. The case will be sent to the Chandigarh police for further investigations and arrest of the accused. Police said, Bawa allegedly lured the girl for a job, who came along with him to Manimajra where he allegedly raped her. As per the girl, the accused is of 35-40-year-old.
“We have informed the victim’s parents in Ambala and will transfer the case to the Chandigarh police, where the victim’s medical exam and her statement will be recorded, ”said SHO Sector-5 police station, inspector Manish Kumar.
