23-yr-old commits suicide by hanging
A 23-year-old man, identified as Aman Kumar from Bathinda, reportedly committed suicide by hanging at his brother's house in Sector 18.
A 23-year-old man, identified as Aman Kumar from Bathinda, reportedly committed suicide by hanging at his brother's house in Sector 18.
The police said Kumar was employed in a private job in Bathinda but was currently staying with his brother in Sector 18. Kumar's wife found him hanging by the ceiling on Sunday morning and informed the police.
According to inspector Charanjiv Lal, Kumar was in the habit of taking drug pills and it appeared he had taken this extreme step as he constantly had arguments with his parents over his habit.
Lal said his family members had been forcing him to stop taking these pills. He said there no suicide note was found on the body.
The body was taken to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH) Sector 16 for an autopsy and cops have initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in Sector 19 police station.
