26-year-old woman accuses lover of rape

A 26-year-old woman on Monday alleged that her boyfriend had raped her. According to the complaint, the woman had a relationship with Devender Gill, resident of Punjab, since 2008.

A 26-year-old woman on Monday alleged that her boyfriend had raped her. According to the complaint, the woman had a relationship with Devender Gill, resident of Punjab, since 2008. The woman also alleged that she had been sexually exploited on the pretext of marriage.

Recently, Devender took her to a hotel in Morni, where also, he allegedly sexually abused her. But when the woman requested, he allegedly refused to marry her. The woman gave a complaint to the police after which a case of rape was registered at Chandimandir police station.

“A case under section 376 (for rape) of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Devender. The woman’s statement under section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been recorded. Her medical was also conducted. The accused is on the run,” said SHO of Chandimandir police station, inspector Arvind Kumar.
