3-day cultural event in Kullu

Sutradhar Kala Sangam, Kullu, would organise a three-day cultural event at Lal Chand Prarthi Kala Kendra from June 19 to 21, to encourage school children to display their talent in various cultural activities.

Sutradhar Kala Sangam president Dinesh Sen told media persons that the organisation came into existence in 1977 to promote local culture at national and international stage.

He said that the organisation had been working as a pioneer to provide opportunity for school students to display their talent in various cultural activities not only in Kullu, but also outside the state.

Nearly 1100 students from 27 government and private schools are expected to participate in the event. Last year, the students from 23 schools participated in the event.

During the three-day event, the students will take part in different activities, including, music, painting at Lal Chand Prarthi Kala Kendra, Kullu.

According to Sen, the event will be held in the background of Sutradhar Kala Sangam's 37th foundation day.
