Accusing the Haryana speaker of being biased, Ajay Chautala, secretary general of the Indian National Lok Dal, said: "None of the earlier speakers have ever been in so much favour of the party in power. The speaker is completely biased in the house."

Addressing the mediapersons here on Sunday, he said: "The speaker has given a go by to the democratic norms and even obituary part of the tradition has been obliterated from the initial proceedings of the house."

Chautala said: "The current and urgent issues were not allowed to be raised or discussed in the assembly. The chief minister stayed quiet and tight-lipped throughout the session."

He said nine Congress legislators had been involved in crime and immoral activities and the government was shielding them.

He said: "The law and order situation is deteriorating with each passing day and all development work has come to a standstill."

Tolling the midterm poll bells, he said people were fed up of the Congress rule and wanted a change.
