Bhola drug racket: Bajwa's plea for CBI probe to be taken up on Aug 19
The Punjab and Haryana high court could not take up the application filed by Punjab Congress chief Pratap Singh Bajwa, wherein he has sought a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Bhola drug racket case.

The application filed by Bajwa was listed before the bench hearing the public interest litigation into the Bhola drug racket case on Wednesday.
Bajwa has submitted that the case had national and international ramifications and should be transferred to an independent agency.
Bajwa has alleged "contradictions" in the ED and Punjab Police probes saying while the ED found it necessary to summon Punjab revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia for his alleged involvement, the state police, conducting a parallel probe, had given him a "clean chit".
