BSNL general manager MC Singh said the tower would facilitate the people of nearly a dozen villages as the area remained unconnected to the rest of the state for nearly six months, due to heavy snowfall.
He said the valley was popular amongst tourist. "This tower will also facilitate tourists visiting the Pin valley," he said.

Singh-1993 batch Indian Telecom Service (ITS) official joined on Monday as the general manager.
He said quality service would be his first priority. "In tribal areas quality service is very important," he added.

Singh also gave the clarion call to the BSNL staff to work to meet out the expectation of the people. He said BSNL had a large customer circle and it had to work hard to cater the expectation of the people.
