CBI files charge sheet against patwari in graft case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed the charge sheet against a patwari who was arrested while allegedly accepting a Rs50,000 bribe in February.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed the charge sheet against a patwari who was arrested while allegedly accepting a Rs50,000 bribe in February.
Balraj Singh was posted at the building branch of the Chandigarh municipal corporation at the time of his arrest.
The case will now come up for hearing on May 18.
Balraj had allegedly demanded Rs 2 lakh for submitting a site verification report for an NOC issued for the transfer of ownership of a house.
His initial demand for Rs 2 lakh had come down to Rs 1 lakh. The accused was arrested from the parking of the new district court complex where he had come to collect the first installment of Rs 50,000.
