Two flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Chandigarh were late by about an hour. Shatabdi train between Delhi and Kalka via Chandigarh was behind scheduled by 10 minutes while superfast train between Howrah and Kalka was running late by 15 hours.
Unchahar Express train between Allahabad and Chandigarh was delayed by over six hours while train between Ludhiana and Chandigarh was running behind schedule by over one hour.
Amritsar in Punjab was the coldest place in the region as it recorded minimum temperature at 3 degrees Celsius, MeT department said.
The minimum temperatures at Ludhiana and Patiala were recorded at 8.7 and 8.6 degrees Celsius respectively, two notches above normal. Chandigarh's low settled at 9 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
Among other places in Haryana, the minimum temperatures at Ambala and Hisar were recorded at 8.4 and 8 degrees Celsius, one degree each above normal.
Narnaul's low was recorded at 10 degrees Celsius, up by five notches while Karnal and Bhiwani had a low of 7.2 and 10 degrees Celsius.
