Eight flights to Chandigarh cancelled, trains delayed due to thick fog

The dense fog that engulfed the region on Thursday adversely affected rail and air connectivity as eight flights were cancelled and three trains were running behind schedule.

The dense fog that engulfed the region on Thursday adversely affected rail and air connectivity as eight flights were cancelled and three trains were running behind schedule.

On Thursday, eight flights, including three Mumbai bound flights---Go Air, Jet airways and Indigo along with five Delhi-bound flights—three of Jet airways and two Spicejet flights.

Only seven flights were operational on Thursday which too were running behind schedule.

Rail traffic was also adversely affected owing to thick fog. The Unchahar express was running 9 hours late, the Howrah express was running 4 hours late and the Himalayan Queen was one hour behind schedule.
