Ten years ago, people in India were not well versed with fashion. Now, a new fashion world market has evolved right in front of us. Fashion has become an expression by which people like to lead their lives now. When I joined the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, in 2009 for a course in Fashion Communication, I felt as if the best has come my way, not realising that the best was yet to come with all the hard work and research that a Fashion Institute puts you through.

Initially, I, like many others was fascinated by the thought of becoming a successful fashion designer someday and hosting a ramp show in the best of the fashion weeks and owning 10 labels under my name.

However, my vision was transformed completely and I realised that fashion does not merely comprise fashion designers or ramp shows or celebrities adorning designer wear on red carpets, but a vast field that comprises of many components, communication being a crucial one. I am working as a graphic design and social media expert with FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) towards the best Fashion weeks and exploring new markets.
