In a press release issued on Thursday, Jyani said instructions had already been issued to all the doctors serving in the rural areas to perform their duty with dedication and punctuality. He said the health services in rural areas should be properly ensured to the poor. He said he would have direct interaction with the people in villages during his visits.

He said doctors not performing their duty properly and not maintaining their hospitals/dispensaries would face strict action.
