Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has taken a serious note of the incident of throwing of acid on volleyball player Ritu Saini last Saturday and directed the police to arrest the culprits without any delay.

The chief minister, who was interacting with the guardians of Ritu in Rohtak, said the guilty would not be spared. He also assured necessary financial help to the volleyball player.

He said, "Ritu was not only their daughter but everybody's and added that the guilty would be punished so that such an incident was not repeated and our daughters felt secured".

He said the government would take stern action against such anti-social elements.
