Man gets 10-yr jail for possession of drugs
A local court sentenced a man for ten years imprisonment for illegal possession of drugs on Thursday.Gagandeep Singh of Hargobind Nagar, Rupnagar, was arrested on July 4, 2012.

A local court sentenced a man for ten years imprisonment for illegal possession of drugs on Thursday.Gagandeep Singh of Hargobind Nagar, Rupnagar, was arrested on July 4, 2012.
The police had also seized a large quantity of intoxicant tablets, capsules and syrups from his possession. Singh had been booked under section 22 and 27 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In addition to a prison sentence, special judge Jatinder Kaur also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Singh.
