MC panel seeks report on sewage treatment plants

The MC's water supply and sewage disposal committee met on Friday and sought a detailed report on sewage treatment plants under the municipal corporation (MC). The report, to also comprise information on maintenance of toilet blocks in markets and other places, will be tabled in the next committee meeting.

The MC's water supply and sewage disposal committee met on Friday and sought a detailed report on sewage treatment plants under the municipal corporation (MC).

The report, to also comprise information on maintenance of toilet blocks in markets and other places, will be tabled in the next committee meeting.

During Friday's meeting, the committee also approved sewage waste disposal lines to be laid for R5.9 lakh at Nehru Colony in Sector 53, construction of a boundary wall around a water booster in Sector 26 for R4.37 lakh.

Meanwhile, the committee of MC's ward number 2 also met on Friday. During the meeting chaired by area councillor Saurabh Joshi, members unanimously elected SC Gupta as the acting chairperson and Deepak Kaushi and Krishan Bansal as vice-chairpersons.
