More IAS officers given additional charge

Acute shortage of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers seems to be a major concern for the Congress government which will complete its two years in office on December 25.

Acute shortage of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers seems to be a major concern for the Congress government which will complete its two years in office on December 25.

Two IAS officers, Amandeep Garg and K Sanjaymurthi, who were proceeded on central deputation by the state government on Wednesday again, affected the change in various departments.

Apart from this, Ajay Mittal, additional chief secretary, transport, was given additional charge of the social justice department, while PC Dhiman, principal secretary, education, will hold additional charge of irrigation and public health. SKBS Negi, principal secretary, power and personnel, has been given charge of administrative reforms. Sanjay Gupta, principal secretary, Ayurveda, who is also the principal secretary to governors, will hold charge of technical education. RD Dhiman, principal secretary, industries, will also look after the department of food and civil supplies.

Besides, Amarjeet Singh, director, personnel, Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, has been given the charge of director, finance.
