Nabard sanctions Rs 45 crore for SSA

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned a loan of about Rs 45 crore under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) to the Punjab government for undertaking various civil works in 1,999 primary schools spread across 22 districts in the state under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned a loan of about Rs 45 crore under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) to the Punjab government for undertaking various civil works in 1,999 primary schools spread across 22 districts in the state under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

The works include provision of additional classrooms, separate toilets for girls, toilets for boys, head-rails with ramps, and drinking water facility in existing schools in all 22 districts under the SSA.
The total sanctioned amount from Nabard under the RIDF has now gone up to nearly Rs 441 crore.
