Open auction of BA series vanity numbers on Dec 6-7
The open auction of vanity numbers of the 'CH-01-BA' series will be held at the Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) office in Sector 17 on December 6 and 7.
The open auction of vanity numbers of the 'CH-01-BA' series will be held at the Registering and Licensing Authority (RLA) office in Sector 17 on December 6 and 7.
Officials said while the auction of vehicle numbers 0001 to 0100 of the new series will be held on December 6, other vanity numbers starting 0101 will be auctioned on December 7.
The applicants who desire to obtain payment numbers are requested to attend the open auction before 9:30am on both days.
Those participating in the auction must bring a copy of sale letter (Form Number 21) along with residence proof. The reserve price will be accepted in cash only.
"The list prescribing the reserve price against special numbers or any other number is available at the RLA office," an RLA official said.
Last series that went under hammer was 'CH-01-AZ'. RLA had earned Rs 71.16 lakh from the open auctioning of this series with 0001 fetching Rs 8.5 lakh. On the other hand, it made Rs 75.88 lakh and Rs 98 lakh from the open auctioning of previous CH-01-AY and CH-01-AX series, respectively.
Due to open auctioning, the RLA office in Sector 17 will remain closed on these two days. No official work except auctioning will take place on that day.
