Pb for preference to domestic electronic products
The Punjab government has issued instructions to all financial commissioners, principal secretaries, administrative secretaries and heads of department to give preference to domestically manufactured electronic products in government procurement.

The Punjab government has issued instructions to all financial commissioners, principal secretaries, administrative secretaries and heads of department to give preference to domestically manufactured electronic products in government procurement.
Stating this, a government spokesperson said these instructions were issued in accordance with the policy of the Union ministry of communication and information technology.
The spokesperson said quarterly reports about preference given to domestically manufactured electronic products in government procurement relating to funds received from the Centre should be sent to the latter. The first quarterly report is to be sent by January 20.
