PGI faculty body condemns president's statement
In response to the statement of the PGIMER Faculty Association president in which he asked the director to hold only post, a section of association has said that the statement was not issued in the larger interest of the faculty.

Dr Santosh Kumar, member of executive body of the association, said the faculty association's main issue was timely promotion, housing and good working conditions besides OT facilities and adequate number of beds.
He said there was no issue of dual charge and it does not bother faculty that has been highlighted out of proportion by president of the faculty association.
"Personal agenda should not be highlighted by the faculty association president," said Dr Kumar.
He said traditionally the director holds the charges of head of the department and the director, whenever it is suitable to the administration and the faculty is not bothered about that.
He said they were more concerned about the issues of promotion of faculty members which is delayed by past three and half years.
Dr Virendra Singh, who is president of the faculty association and belongs to the department which is being headed by the director, had asked that the director must relinquish HoD charge.
