Polling resumes in violence-torn Niyana village

Polling resumed under heavy police security at the violence-torn Niyana village of Barwala assembly segment after members of Jat and Dalit community clashed over issue of bogus voting. Over 30 persons, including ten police personnel sustained injuries in clashes. Hisar SP Vikas Dhankar was also present on the spot.

Four bikes of voters who came to polling station were torched and two four wheelers were vandalized by the crowd. Police team fired tear gas shells to disperse the mob, but situation remained tense and polling process was disrupted.
