Man killed, three injured in Yamunanagar road mishap
A 40-year-old car painter was killed, while The deceased Manoj Kumar's wife and two children, were injured after a speeding SUV hit their bike near Pratap Nagar area of Yamunanagar on Thursday. The family was on their way to Poanta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. The deceased Manoj Kumar was a resident of Sasouli village. His wife Manju, 32, and children aged 10 and eight sustained injuries.

Panipat collection firm booked for not depositing ₹28-lakh to UHBVN
Four FIRs have been registered against a private collection company for causing financial loss to the tune of ₹28 lakh to the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam for not depositing the money it had collected from customers. The FIRs were registered on the complaints of the sub-divisional officers of Israna, Beholi, Panipat City, and Madlauda.

Gone in 4 minutes: 5 men rob ₹13 lakh from unguarded PNB branch in Mullanpur Dakha
Five armed robbers struck at Punjab National Bank's branch in Detwal village of Mullanpur Dakha on Thursday evening and fled with Rs 13 lakh cash within four minutes. The robbers faced no resistance as the bank had no security guard. At the time, five bank employees were present in the bank. According to bank staff, two of the robbers flashed guns, while one held out a sharp-edged weapon.

No one can be ‘forced’ to buy Tricolour: Haryana CM Khattar
Reacting to the controversy that erupted after a fair-price shop in Karnal district was found forcing customers to purchase national flags (priced at ₹20 each) before providing them ration under the public distribution system, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar clarified that no one can force ration-card holders to buy the Tricolour. “No person will be denied any service if he does not wish to purchase the national flag,” the CM said in a statement.

Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said legislators of the ruling BJP-JJP alliance were themselves displeased with the prevailing state of affairs. “The MLAs of the coalition have exposed their government,” Hooda said. The Congress leader said, “The government has constituted several special investigation teams (SITs) to probe the many scams unearthed in the state, but the SITs' reports never see the light of the day.”
