"If he is able to prove his charge, I will quit politics," Majithia said in a statement here.

Accusing the Congress leadership of being neck-deep in corruption, Majithia said the Congress leadership was in the habit of using state agencies like the CBI to settle scores with political rivals.

Hitting out at the Congress, Majithia even dubbed the CBI as the "Congress Bureau of Investigation".

Amarinder had on Tuesday stated that the SAD-BJP regime was on a spree of registering false cases against Congressmen out of vendetta politics and there were "580 false FIRs in the Majha area alone".

Majithia asked Amarinder to restrain from mudslinging and contribute to the development of the state.
