Punjab waives 1-acre condition for tubewell connection

Giving a relief to farming community, the Punjab government has waived the condition of one-acre land for getting a new tube well connection, chief parliamentary secretary (irrigation) Sohan Singh Thandal said today.

Giving a relief to farming community, the Punjab government has waived the condition of one-acre land for getting a new tube well connection, chief parliamentary secretary (irrigation) Sohan Singh Thandal said on Friday.

He said that the decision had been taken in view of long-pending demand of farmers in this connection.

Thandal said following chief minister Parkash Singh Badal's directions, he held a meeting with principal secretary, power, wherein it was decided to waive the condition of land holding.
