SGPC justifies action about Takht property

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) member Paramjit Singh Lakhewal justified the action of SGPC in taking possession of the property situated near Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib at Anandpur Sahib here on Sunday.

Talking to mediapersons, he said the concerned eight-kanal land belonged to Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and no one had any right over it, adding that the SGPC took the possession of the property on the basis of their revenue record.

"A thorough probe should be conducted into the matter and revenue record pertaining to property should be looked in to," said Lakhewal , adding that this would reveal the property belonged to SGPC and it would also be clear whether any revenue record was forged to grab the land or not.

Lakhewal refuted the allegations leveled by the Shiromani Akali Dal general council member, Jagtar Singh Bhaini, that the concerned property belonged to him.

He also refuted the allegations leveled against SGPC member, Amarjit Singh Chawla and Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib manager, Sukhwinder Singh Grewal, saying that the both of them enjoyed good reputation.

Panchayat Samiti chairman, Narinder Singh Mavi,Youth Akali leaders Ranjit Singh Goodwill,Sukhinderpal Singh Bobby Bola,Manjinder Singh Dhanoa,Manpreet Singh,Parminder Singh Bala, SAD leader Mohanjit Singh Kamalpur, Daljit Singh Bhutton were also present.

Meanwhile,SGPC member from Himachal Pradesh, Daljit Singh Bhinder has also justified the action of SGPC and refuted Bhaini's allegations.

It may be mentioned that Bhaini had alleged that the SGPC task force had illegally taken possession of his property on Thursday night.

Besides,a large number of residents of Bhaini village have leveled allegations of fraud in Narega and encroachment on Shamlat land in the village and demanded his removal from Shiromani Akali Dal

Jagtar Singh Bhaini has refuted all the allegations leveled against him by the villagers and termed these as politically motivated to tarnish his image.
