Solang Nullah mishap claims life of BJP leader

In a shocking incident, a man was crushed to death by his own tractor (HP 58-1839) at the Solang Nullah, 12 km from here, on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Budhi Singh (55), a resident of Ruwar village here. He was also a BJP leader, who remained the president of the Ruwar polling booth for many years and was presently the booth palak of the Solang polling booth of BJP.
The eye witnesses said that the victim was killed after the tractor run over him as the same was in neutral mode. The deceased was taken to the Lady Willingdon Hospital here for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. A case has been registered in this regard. Local MLA Govind Singh Thakur has expressed grief over the death Singh.
