Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to lay the foundation stone for four-laning of the Kaithal-Siwani national highway amounted to befooling people.
Tanwar, in a press note here on Monday said the aforementioned highway had been sanctioned during the UPA rule and now the BJP government was claiming credit for it. Tanwar said INS Vikramaditya and INS Kolkata, too, had been sanctioned by the UPA government but the BJP was now showing these as its “achievements”.
The Congress leader said if the BJP really had the welfare of the people of Haryana close to its heart, it should have sanctioned some projects for the state in the railway budget. “It is shocking that seven MPs of this party could not get anything worthwhile from the railway ministry,” he added.
