Temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab and Haryana

A day after rains lashed several parts of Punjab and Haryana, the maximum temperatures on Monday hovered close to normal level in the two states.

Union territory Chandigarh recorded maximum temperature of 32.9 degree Celsius, a MeT department report said.

Amritsar, which was lashed by heavy rains yesterday, recorded a maximum of 34.9 degree Celsius.

Ludhiana's maximum settled at 32.6 degree Celsius while Patiala recorded a high of 33.2 degree Celsius.

Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 33 degree Celsius while Hisar's maximum settled at 36.6 degree Celsius.
