Ten local authors to be felicitated on Dec 6

The Punjab government on Sunday announced the names of 10 authors who would be felicitated by the department of language, Punjab, for their respective works.

These authors will be presented awards at a state-level function in Patiala on December 6.

The authors are Sarabjit Kaur Jass (Rahan Di Tapash, under the category of poems), Krishan Kumar Rattu (Sadak Sansad Te Aadmi, under the story writing category) Iqbal Singh Ramowalia (for Sadde Saaj Di Sargam, under non-fiction), Baldev Singh Dhaliwal (for his critical piece on poetry), Sukhdev Singh Madhpuri (Lok Geetan Dian Kullan- Shagna De Geet, under folk songs), Paramvir Kaur (Zindgi Di Sajh Dajh, under contemporary literature), Pawan Harchandpuri (Panchiyan Di Panchayat, under story writing), Kundan Lal (Kundan Pare in Urdu verses), Renu Behal (Badli Me Chhupa Chand- Urdu short story), and Mahinder Partap Chand (Nisha Te Kalap under story writing).
