A group of 10 youths allegedly vandalised a liquor vend in Industrial Area, Phase 2, and robbed its owner of Rs 16,000 after he refused to give them a discount on Thursday. Munish Kumar, owner of Mehak Tavern, alleged that around 10pm, seven people came to his vend and started drinking, and were soon joined by three youths.

Kumar said when he presented a bill of Rs 1,600, the youths requested for a discount. But when he refused, they got furious and started throwing chairs and tables at him. He called the police control room, but the youths managed to escape before the cops arrived.
