Two arrested with 1-kg charas in Jammu

Two people were arrested along with the contraband of charas in this winter capital of the state.
"Police this morning intercepted a truck JK13-8969 at a nakka laid down in South Jammu," an official here said.
He said during frisking, one-kg charas was recovered from the truck and two persons identified as Hilal Ahmed and Ghulam Ahmed, residents of Anantnag, Srinagar were arrested on the spot.
The Charas was being smuggled from Kashmir to Punjab.
A case has been registered under NDPS Act and investigations are in progress.
