Jorawar alias Habida, a resident of Majra village, and Neeraj, a resident of Kundal village, were held along with two pistol and six cartridges, police said.

The two allegedly wanted to strike a contract deal with the deceased, Vikas, who was engaged by LMT Company to lay earth on the railway line from Majra to Kathuwas village.

However, as Vikas refused to give them the contract, the accused allegedly shot him dead.

Police swung into action and zeroed in on the duo at Jorawar's home and arrested Neeraj. Jorawar fired at cops and managed to flee the spot, but was later arrested from Dhani Santo near the Rajasthan border along with the weapons.

Police said Jorawar is also wanted in cases of dacoity, attempt to murder besides theft. Neeraj has two cases of snatching, attempt of murder besides other pending against him.
