Woman alleges assault, threat over parking row

A 35-year-old woman, who manages a beauty parlour in Sector 15, alleged that Navdeep Singh of SAS Nagar, who manages an eatery in the neighbourhood, thrashed and misbehaved with her.

A 35-year-old woman, who manages a beauty parlour in Sector 15, alleged that Navdeep Singh of SAS Nagar, who manages an eatery in the neighbourhood, thrashed and misbehaved with her.

Giving details, the police said the woman alleged that Navdeep, along with his friends, thrashed, threatened and made attempts to outrage her modesty on Sunday.The woman claimed that Navdeep and his friends started arguing over parking of their car and later pushed her.

Acting on the complaint, the police have registered a case of causing hurt (section 323) assault or using criminal force to any woman (354) and criminal intimidation (506) at the Sector-11 police station.

The accused was arrested case. The case is under investigation and the police are viewing the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the others involved in the incident.
