The police had booked Raju, a resident of Shahpur Colony, after his neighbour accused him of kidnapping and raping her minor daughter.

As per the complaint filed with the police on March 9, 2007, Kamla alleged that her 16-year-old daughter was kidnapped by the accused.

Later, she accused him of raping the girl.

While recording her statement before the court, the victim denied being raped.

She stated that she had eloped with the accused of her own will to get married to him.

She said she was above 18 years of age and had married the accused.
