Youth training centre's governing council revamped

The Punjab government has reconstituted the C-PYTE (Centre for Punjab Youth Training and Employment) governing council to exercise general control and give directions for effective implementation of C-PYTE schemes in the state, a spokesman said here.

The Punjab government has reconstituted the C-PYTE (Centre for Punjab Youth Training and Employment) governing council to exercise general control and give directions for effective implementation of C-PYTE schemes in the state, a spokesman said here.

The chief minister would be the president, while the minister in charge of the department of employment generation and training would be the vice-president and chairman of the council's executive board.

Those nominated as members are the chief secretary; secretary, employment generation and training; principal secretary, finance, or his nominee; principal secretary to the chief minister; secretary, rural development and panchayats; secretary, planning; principal secretary, industries; divisional commissioners of Patiala, Ferozepur, Jalandhar and Faridkot; inspector general of police (headquarters); director, technical education; director, information and public relations; director, employment generation; deputy general (recruitment) or his nominee; commanding officers of Chandigarh naval unit, NCC and air force base at Chandigarh; managing director, Punjab Ex-servicemen Corporation (PESCO); and director general, C-PYTE.
