PSEB Class 8 results: Ludhiana students shine with 16% share in merit pie

As many as 44,699 students of Class 8 appeared at 289 centres across the district in the examination which was held between February 25 and March 22

Bringing laurels to the district, a total of 60 students, including 40 girls, from Ludhiana grabbed a place among the 356 meritorious pupils in the Class 8 results declared by the Punjab State Education Board (PSEB) on Friday.

The merit cut-off released by the PSEB was 97.83%.

The other four students who topped in the district include Jashandeep Kaur of Bassian village, Aishveer Kaur of Ferurai village, Abhishek Kumar, a resident of Kakowal Road and Sundhi Garg of Ram Nagar.

As many as 44,699 students of Class 8 appeared at 289 centres across the district in the examination which was held between February 25 and March 22. Around 50 students are from private schools, while 10 are from government schools.

Other schools from where the students have featured in the list include Government Senior Secondary School Girls, R S Model Senior Secondary School, GSSS Dhandari Khurd, Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Baba Zorawar Fateh Singh Senior Secondary Public School and GSSS Ladhowal.
