As many as 167 residential and commercial properties of the Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) are set to go under the hammer, starting Friday.

Up for grabs are 74 residential units on freehold basis, 92 commercial units on leasehold basis and one commercial unit on freehold basis in Sector 51-A.

The auction will conclude on December 20.

In the previous auction which concluded on November 9, CHB was able to sell only 13 out 153 units, which included both residential and commercial properties.

A three-bedroom flat in Sector 63 had gone for 1.36 crore against its reserve price of 1.07 crore, while a 2BHK flat in the same sector was sold for 95 lakh against the reserve price of 72 lakh.

Of 95 commercial properties available on leasehold basis, only three found takers, while just 10 residential properties out of 58 on freehold basis could be sold.

CHB chief executive officer Yashpal Garg said, “Units shall be allotted to the highest eligible bidder, quoting above the reserve price. GST will not be applicable on consideration/premium of the unit.”

All willing participants may visit the official website of CHB www.chbonline.in to understand the process of submission of earnest money deposits and e-bids. In order to submit e-bids, every prospective bidder is required to get himself/herself registered at https://etenders.chd.nic.in. A valid e-mail id, mobile number and digital signature are the basic requirements to participate in the e-Tender process, said Garg.
