A motorcyclist was fined 22,500 and his vehicle impounded after traffic police found a tampered number plate during a checking drive near Majri Chowk on Monday.

Police said the rider was also unable to produce any valid documents, such as driving licence, registration certificate, insurance, or pollution under control (PUC) certificate.
