Chandigarh: Finance and contract committee approves ₹16.20-crore developmental works
Finance and Contract Committee of Chandigarh MC accorded approval to record 58 development agendas worth ₹16.20 crore, including a proposal for special repair of gaushala at Sector 25
The finance and contract committee (F&CC) of the Chandigarh municipal corporation accorded approval to record 58 development agendas worth ₹16.20 crore, including a proposal for special repair of gaushala at Sector 25 keeping in view the better upkeep of cows there.

The meeting of the F&CC was held here on Monday under the chairpersonship of mayor Sarbjit Kaur Dhillon.
The committee member approved the estimate for the expenses of designing, providing, testing, commissioning and handing over submersible pumping machinery for lowering inside UGR at Sector 44-A and 44-B in lieu of old submersible pumping sets and other works to maintain sufficient water pressure in Sector 44 A and B, Chandigarh, at an estimated cost of ₹7.72 lakh.
The proposal for the renovation/repair of the sitting arrangement hut and boundary wall of Sports Complex, Sector 52, at an estimated cost of ₹7.59 lakh was also approved.
The committee approved a proposal for the landscaping work by providing and fixing pipe benches and gymnastic equipment at Sector 5 at an estimated cost of ₹40.95 lakh.
The development of parks near House No 1057, 1016 and 1515 in Sector 41, Chandigarh, at an estimated cost of ₹26.73 lakh was approved.
The committee approved the repair of the councillor room and providing and fixing of the false ceiling of the community centre at Milk Colony, Dhanas, at an estimated cost of ₹1.61 lakh.
Proposal of special repair and renovation of the community centre at Dhanas at an estimated cost of ₹28.24 lakh was approved.
It approved the providing and fixing of steel tree guards on various V-3, V-4 and V-5 road berms and in the park and green belt of Sectors 36, 37, 38, 41, 42, 55 and 56 at an estimated cost of ₹12 lakh.
The committee gave its nod for the augmentation of lights in the Leisure Valley, Sector 10, at an estimated cost of ₹37.91 lakh.
It also accorded approval for providing and fixing railing on Median of V-3 Roads, Sector 50/51, from Roundabout V-4 Road, Sector 50/51, to Mohali side and painting of existing railing from roundabout V-4 Road, Sector 50/51, to Chandigarh side at an estimated cost of ₹46.89 lakh.
