“The state government is committed to providing all necessary facilities to industries. Haryana has made remarkable improvements in the field of ease of doing business,” Saini said, adding that the state ranks among the fastest-growing states in the country. He said that every district of the state is connected through a road network and national highways, which has created a favourable environment for industries and trade.

The Punjab delegation held detailed discussions on various issues related to industry, investment and employment, a state government spokesperson said.

Saini said that the state government is developing industrial model townships (IMTs) at various locations, and the processes of land acquisition and infrastructure development are being carried out at a rapid pace.

“The state government is not only focused on industrial development but also equally committed to social and economic empowerment,” Saini said.

The chief minister said that Punjab once held a leading position in the country, but at present, there is a need for all stakeholders to collectively work towards bringing the state back on the path of development.
