He handed over a letter regarding this matter to assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania. The notice has been moved against the police chief and two other officers in which he alleged that while the assembly proceedings were underway, the vigilance department summoned him to their Shimla office for questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation.

“The action is being driven by a spirit of ‘political vendetta’,” alleged Sharma, while contending that summoning him for an investigation during the assembly session is an attempt to harass him.

“When the case is registered in Dharamshala, I was summoned to the Shimla office for questioning and that too when session is on. This is an attempt to cause mental harassment and distress,” he said. He added that the assembly Speaker will take action regarding the breach of privilege issue.
