Himachal paper leak case: HPSSC former secretary Jitender Kanwar gets bail
Kanwar was arrested by the special investigation team (SIT) of the state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau in the infamous paper leak scandal
Himachal Administrative Services officer and former secretary of now disbanded Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission (HPSSC) Jitender Kanwar was granted bail by a Hamirpur court.

Kanwar was arrested by the special investigation team (SIT) of the state vigilance and anti-corruption bureau in the infamous paper leak scandal.
He has been named as an accused in one of the six FIRs registered by the SIT in paper leak of various recruitment exams. Kanwar was arrested on April 4 and stayed in jail for over a month.
Dissatisfied by the arguments of the prosecution, the court granted him bail subject to the conditions that the accused shall remain present during the court hearings, shall not leave the country without the permission of the court and shall not threaten or coerce any witness related to the case or tamper with the records.
The accused officer has also been asked to cooperate in the investigation. The court also granted liberty to the prosecution to file an appeal against the bail granted to Kanwar.
