Ludhiana: 25 impounded vehicles gutted in police station
According to the police, the fire broke out at 6 am. The flames engulfed 25 impounded vehicles in the police station in Ludhiana. The police tried to douse the flames by throwing water and later informed the fire brigade.

Panic gripped the area as the police station is in between the residential colony of police personnel and district administration officials.
The fire brigade doused the flames after reaching the spot. The reason behind the flames has not been ascertained yet.
According to the police, the fire broke out at around 6 am. Before they could react, the flames engulfed the vehicles. The police tried to douse the flames by throwing water and later informed the fire brigade.
Inspector Neeraj Choudhary, SHO at police station Division number 8, said the flames were doused timely and it did not damage the building.
It is learnt that the police station sadar, office of the assistant commissioner of police (ACP, west) and additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP, city 3) are adjacent to the building.
