Expressing dejection that the public did not vote for Congress in the last assembly elections despite large scale development works taken up its previous tenure, Warring appealed to the public to not vote for councillors on the basis of tall and false claims being made by AAP leaders.

“ Not a single penny has been allocated for development works in the city by AAP government and the projects which are now being inaugurated by AAP MLAs were launched during the regime of Congress. People should take into account the development done by Congress and vote for councillors of the Grand Old Party, who have always remained available for the public, even during the pandemic,” said Warring.

Replying to a question on allocation of tickets, Warring stated that they will allocate 50% tickets to candidates below the age of 50, adding that their candidates will be a combination of “youth and experience”.

Ashu’s arrest a move to defame Congress

Warring said the sole purpose of arresting former cabinet minister and Ludhiana west Bharat Bhushan Ashu in the alleged food grains transportation scam is defaming Congress as nothing concrete has been found against him.

He also took a dig at AAP over the deteriorating state of law and order in the state, alleging that residents have started taking law in their own hands in the tenure of the present government.
