Panchkula: Design of Hanuman Vatika at Mansa Devi temple gets HSVP approval

The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has finalised the design for the proposed Hanuman Vatika at the Mansa Devi temple complex. Spanning three acres and costing an estimated ₹13 crore, the project aims to become a major religious and tourist attraction.

The meeting also approved the final design of the proposed Pashupatinath Temple, inspired by Mount Kailash, with a pyramid-shaped structure, a Shivling-shaped sanctum, 32-pillared corridors, a Mansarovar-style water body and swastika-shaped entrances. (HT File)

The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by deputy commissioner and chief administrator of the Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, Satpal Sharma. Officials informed that the garden will feature themed sections, including Raghunandan Kunj, Janaki Kunj, Hanuman Kunj, Tulsi Kunj, Lav-Kush Kunj and Nal-Neel Kunj, besides a yajna shala, fountains, and extensive landscaping.

Sharma directed HSVP officials to prepare the detailed project estimate within 10 days and complete the standard operating procedure (SOP) so that construction can begin without delay.

The meeting also approved the final design of the proposed Pashupatinath Temple, inspired by Mount Kailash, with a pyramid-shaped structure, a Shivling-shaped sanctum, 32-pillared corridors, a Mansarovar-style water body and swastika-shaped entrances.

Officials reviewed other ongoing projects, including the Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, restoration of the main temple, construction of a guest house, installation of escalators at the new entry corridor and renovation of Laxmi Dharamshala to enhance facilities for devotees.
